Our Story...

The Beginning

1997 - we met in the first grade at Kent Road Elementary, and from the start we were

inseparable.

Grades 1 through 4 we were together every day whether it was during school or in the evening.

Everyone who knew us, knew that our bond was much more than friendship, we were sisters by

choice, the sisters we never had.

Once grade 5 came, we were split up, Candace moving to a new home on one end of Winnipeg,

and Britany going to go live on the other, but, we weren't going to let that be the end of our story.

Over the years, and as technology changed, we found ways of keeping in contact. It was hard,

seeing as we couldn't drive from the ages of 10-15, and our parents were definitely not going to

drive us across the city every day/week. So, as we got older, the constant communication was not as frequent, we had new friends and new things in life that kept us busy.

Once we were old enough to drive, and as long as our parents/guardians were willing to let us use their vehicles, we were seeing each other as much as possible, mostly on weekends, and it was like no time had passed between us at all. We were still just as close as we were at five years old, maybe even closer, and even though we grew up separately, we did not grow apart.

The Present

Jumping to the present days, we are still as thick as thieves and we don't see that part of our friendship ever changing. In fact, in 2014 we each got half of the quote, “Together forever, never apart. Maybe in distance but never in heart”, tattooed onto us, because we know that no matter where life takes either of us, we will be in each other’s lives forever. It was also in 2013 or 2014 when we discovered that, even though we grew up separately, we both grew up having a passion for photography and capturing beautiful moments, and that is when Two Peas and a Tripod became the dream we would share.

We are two very family oriented girls, and to us, family does not only include the people in your life that you are connected to through blood, but also the people you choose to share your life and all of its experiences with (and vice versa). We believe that no amount of time spent with family is too small or insignificant so we put our love and passion for family, into the time spent with all of our clients.

The Future

If we are being completely honest, we aren’t sure what the future holds for us, however we do know what we want in our future and the future of our business.

We want to create lasting memories for all of our clients, memories of their friends and family that will last a lifetime. We want to grow as photographers in every aspect, growing together and as individuals so that we will both always bring something unique to our company and, therefore, to your photos.

Our hope is to, also, grow with our clients and have relationships with all of you, not only business arrangements. We want to take your engagement photos, your maternity photos, and then take the pictures for your child’s 1st birthday. We want to take family photos of all the generations in your family, even your grandkids, when the day comes. We want to be more than just the photographers that took your pictures one time, we want you to see us as an extension of your family, the extension that you trust to capture photos of you and your loved ones that are more than just pictures, they are memories and snap shots of time that you will be able to look back on and reminisce over as the years go by

We hope one day to work with all of you and cannot wait to have your beautiful smiling faces on the other side of our cameras!
